Songs of praise

Songs of praise is for anyone who enjoys singing hymns and songs of worship as part of a full and lively church.

Along with other people in the congregation, you can choose at least one of the ten hymns or songs sung during the service.

Songs of praise is on whenever there’s a 5th Sunday in the month, which is 4 or 5 times a year.

It usually starts at 6.00pm at St Bartholomew’s, but occasionally is at other times at St Philip’s Webheath or St Mary’s Lower Bentley. Check the Calendar for more details.

Choose a hymn or song of worship

If you’d like to choose a hymn or worship song for the next Songs of praise, you can:

  • fill in one of the forms (which you’ll find at the back of the church a week or two before) and leave it in the box marked ‘Songs of praise’

You can give either the title or the first line of the hymn or song – and, if possible, please include a short note to tell us why the one you’ve chosen is special to you.

You don’t need to tell us your name or give us your contact details, unless you would like us to get back in touch with you.
